Experience two days of paddling down Sugar Creek, combining our two most popular trips and camp overlooking Sugar Creek in our primitive canoe camp.

Narrows @ Creekside Overnight Trip

23-Mile Trip      Point A to D (See map)
$42 per canoe     $30 per kayak
Plus Camping fee:  Minimum $12.00 or $3/person

Primitive Camping Cabins: $25.00 PER NIGHT (sleeps 6)

PLEASE NOTE: no electricity or water at overnight camping facility.
This is a PRIMITIVE campsite.

Day one:

Departs 9 or 10 am. Canoe from Deers Mill at Shades (Point A on map) to Narrows @ Creekside (Point B-2 on map). Canoeing time for day one: 4 - 6 hours (12 Miles)

Camping: Pull off at our new site: Narrows @ Creekside for primitive overnight camping. (Point B-2 on map)

Day Two:

Depart at your leisure and canoe through Turkey Run State Park and down to Jackson Covered Bridge to the end of your trip (Point D on map).

Canoeing time for Day Two: 3½ to 5 hours (11½ Miles) Pick-ups at Jackson Bridge: 2:45, 4:15 & 5:30

CAMPING INFORMATION:

Primitive camping at the end of Day 1 is at Sugar Valley's property: Narrows @ Creekside.

This is primitive camping only. Facilities include picnic table, fire ring and pit toilet. You take all your camping gear (including water) with you in your canoe. Tents must be broken down and campsite cleared before leaving on Day 2 of your trip. All campers must be registered with Sugar Valley and must be part of the overnight canoe trip. Sugar Valley will sell bundled firewood on site. No firewood can be collected from the premises or surrounding woods. No trespassing onto surrounding private property or State Park property. Quiet hours (10 pm to 8 am) will be strictly enforced. Any violators will be ejected from the premises with no refund.

MINI OVERNIGHT TRIP

Take our popular 15-mile Shades-to-Turkey Run Trip (Trip 2) as an overnight trip.

Departs at 5 PM. Once launching from Deers Mill at Shades, you will have a one-hour float down to Shades State Park Primitive Canoe Camp. Camp overnight and depart the next morning at your leisure to continue the remaining 13 mile to Cox Ford. All camping gear needs to be taken with you in your canoe. The canoe camp is not accessible by vehicle. Point A to C. See map.

Cost:

$28.00 per canoe (Minimum 2 canoes required, Reservations required)
$22.00 per kayak

Camping Fee:

Additional camping fee will be collected from Shades State Park.

Primitive camping:

Pit toilet, water hydrant and fire pit available.  Not accessible by vehicles.
